Password Protected Directories in Shared Hosting
Creating a password-protected area shall take just several mouse clicks and a few seconds if you host your sites within a shared hosting account with us. You shall not have to do anything complex - you'll need to choose a domain/subdomain, to select which folder under it should be protected, and then to enter the login name and password that'll be used to access that folder. If a number of people require their own login details, there will not be a problem to make numerous different usernames with access to the same exact folder. All secured folders shall appear with a padlock icon within the File Manager section, so you'll always know where this feature is enabled. If you want to deactivate the protection feature for any folder, you can deactivate it from the same section of the CP in which you have enabled it.
Password Protected Directories in Semi-dedicated Hosting
It will require a few mouse clicks to enable the password protection function for any folder which you have, if you use one of our semi-dedicated hosting services. We have a very practical tool, which has a user-friendly point-and-click interface and which can be used by people without experience. It is included in the Hepsia CP, that you will get to manage your new account and as soon as you log in and visit the Password Protection section, you will be able to pick the domain or subdomain that should be secured and then the particular folder - either the main folder or any subfolder under it. You'll also see 2 boxes where you will need to input the login name and the password that will be needed to access the folder in question and you shall be ready. By following precisely the same steps, you will be able to create several different login credentials for the exact same folder to give several people their own username/password. All secured folders shall have a small padlock sign in the File Manager section.
